Fall 2010 is all about texture!

Fur, satin, tweed, suede, felt, metallic, fringe...... This fall, different textures are mixed together to make the most interesting and fashion forward looks to date.

Chanel's fall campaign features pieces overflowing with fur and fringe that give you that need-to-touch feeling.

Miu Miu features mustard yellow felt dresses with metallic flower and buckle details. The matte of the beautifully formed dresses with the super shiny metal details create the most tantalizing contrast.

Bvlgari's campaign with Julian Moore features handbags and accessories and plays with the luxurious textures of fur and velvet by surrounding Moore with velvet pillows, and lion cubs. The beauty of Bvlgari's ads with Julian Moore kill me.

The abundance of texture and contrast this fall makes me weak in the knees!

Call me Zip!

I am loving the zipper trends everywhere these days. Zippers have slowly come out as a an added design detail in apparel and this season it's coming full circle.

When it comes to shoes: I've seen zippers as edging on a sandal strap, a twisted design up the ankle of a boot, and the detail on the toe and heel of a flat.

As for tops: anything goes! Zipper shirt pocket on a T, zipper front feminine blouse(which I think is genius in balancing feminine and edgy), angled zipper in a neckline.

Dresses are using this trend by utilizing the classic use of a zipper, but using an oversized exposed zipper to spice it up down the back or front of any style dress.

I can't wait to get my hands on more zipped out apparel this spring season!!

I wanted to start a fashion blog as a way to express one of my deepest passions. The items that I adorn my body with are my way of expressing who I am. I went to fashion school and have moved on to higher education, but I miss the day to day of fashion talk, projects, research, and design. So this will be my outlet...
